Star Wars Actor Choked by Darth Vader Dies at age 66

According to the Associated Press, Star Wars actor Richard LeParmentier has died at the age of 66.  While the name might not be familiar to fanboys and girls across the globe, he is forever linked to one of the greatest movie villains of all time.

The actor will continue to be remembered as the man whoinsults Darth Vader in the original “Star Wars,” and is choked with the Force until Vader is commanded to release him.  Of course, the line “I find your lack of faith disturbing,” is uttered shortly before Vader commences his demonstration of just how powerful a Sith lord can be.

Richard LeParmentier might not be the most recognizable name from the Star Wars franchise, but his passing will be mourned by fans, as he provided the first glimpse of just how terrible Darth Vader was and would be.  Rest in peace dear sir, I will try not to be too proud of this technological terror I’ve created.
