I love going to movies. Something about sitting in the dark with a bunch of strangers getting ready to experience the latest and greatest Hollywood has to offer just sets the mood for a fun night. Granted, some movies are better than others, but all of the films have one thing in common: popcorn.
With the arrival of digital services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and even iTunes, replicating the movie experience at home has been a priority. Sure, a nice HD television set, DVD or Blu-ray player, surround sound system, and all the other technological stuff gets accumulated over time, but getting that darn popcorn right can be downright frustrating.
Luckily, the Great Northern Popcorn Company had the answer for me. Their 8-ounce popcorn machine and popcorn packets made the entire experience a carbon copy of what I get at the local Cineplex. In fact, it might be a little bit better, because I’m not paying $10 for a tub of the light and fluffy goodness.
The popcorn packs make life simple because everything is premeasured, which means you just cut open the back and the self-stirring kettle in the popcorn maker takes care of everything else. Talk about easy.
Plus, a bunch of different flavorings are available to let the family or visitors season their popcorn to their particular taste, which is a major win. No more making a special batch for one person. Microwave popcorn can not hold a candle to these great assets. The Great Northern Popcorn Company machine and popcorn packs are a major part to any movie night or sports event.
