Gift and Collectible Ideas for Fans of 'The Mentalist'

The appeal of the CBS hit drama “The Mentalist” has a lot to do with the charm of lead actor Simon Baker and his character Patrick Jane.  While on the series Jane has recently accomplished his lifelong ambition of revenge, the character has fallen in with the FBI to perhaps take down the rest of the criminal organization responsible for the death of his wife and child.  Not surprisingly, the show has amassed quite a fan following, which presents a chance for a few great gift and merchandise options.

If an autographed photo of Simon Baker is out of the price range, one of the lesser expensive tee shirts might be right up your alley.  Everything from the basic logo of “The Mentalist,” to one with the description seen in the opening credits, to one with the dreaded Red John smiley face are available at reasonable prices.

Fans that joined the show after the first season might enjoy a complete season DVD or Blu-ray, and hardcore fans might recognize the familiar FiestaWare tea cup that Jane regularly used in several CBI scenes but the color is difficult to find.  Of course, fans of the show might be interested in something from Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby, or Van Pelt or the actors that portray them as well.

Collectibles and entertainment memorabilia can escalate in value, particularly if the series manages to stay popular.  With this series popping up in syndication, the adventures of Jane and his team are likely to be fan favorites for some time and long after the show vanishes from the CBS schedule.
