The Most Watched YouTube Videos from the Week Ending 1/18/14

Saturday.  What a fine day.  Of course, this is the time where I like to take a minute and highlight a few of the Most Watched YouTube Videos for me during the week.  This week there are a few interesting tidbits, and one Oscar nominated song from an Oscar Nominated Animate Feature.  Take a look:

Bad British NFL Commentary

Granted the commentary takes place over an Alabama Notre Dame game (huh, a French team?) and not an NFL game, but this as entertaining as anything else on YouTube this week.  Funny, yes.  Creative, terribly.  But it is also completely addictive to watch and to listen to.  This takes bad commentary to a whole new level.

The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 9 Trailer

The issue I have with “The Walking Dead” is that new episodes are few and far in between these days, and to say I am pumped for the return of the zombie romp is an understatement.  With the survivors cast in different directions and the prison behind them, it is going to be interesting to see what happens next to Rick and his group of dedicated people.

Muppets Most Wanted Outrage

This is a trailer for a movie based on the normal flow of social media.  The Muppets have never been a group that shies away from trying new things, and after watching this short episode featuring Tweets from people, I couldn’t help but crack a smile.

Lizzy and Kim’s Call Sprint TV Commercial

There is just something about James Earl Jones and Malcolm McDowell talking like people from different eras.  I know this isn’t new but I notice something new every few times I watch it.  It’s like serving a burger and fries on the fine china, but it is fun.  I hope they do a few more.

Let It Go Sequence Performed by Idina Menzel from Disney’s “Frozen”

With more than 43 million views, and a previous appearance on my list, “Let It Go” is one of those songs that just sticks with you.  If you haven’t seen the Oscar nominated animated feature or heard the show stopping song yet, this is your chance to check out one of the best animated sequences of the year.  The lighting, tone, and pace, are all great and the transformation of Elsa from unsure individual to confident player happens over the course of a few minutes—simply amazing.
