So what were your most watched YouTube videos from last week? As usual, some new stuff and an old song trickled onto the replay list. Granted, any number of music videos could have made the cut, but in the end it was all about a certain song that was discovered many years ago thanks to a certain movie. Take a look:
Fatboy Slim "The Rockafeller Skank"
What do you get when you cross a few crazy performances with an infectious beat and a killer hook? "The Rockafeller Skank" first popped on my radar in "She's All That" (bonus points for the film for having Mathew Lillard in it) and it was rediscovered via the power of the Internet.
Arists vs. TMNT Epic Rap Battles of History
Epic Rap Battles of History features a playlist that would make anybody jealous, and when the artists the turtles are named for compete in a rap battle everyone wins. Clever and funny, this one is pretty great.
Disney Dudez 3- Todrick Hall
I'm not sure what the appeal of this video is to me. Maybe it's the whole song from "Hercules" making a neat debut, and maybe it's the clever way things are worked in. In any event, Todrick Hall has proven time and time again that he has enough talent to compete with the cast of "Glee."
#Galaxy11: The Match Part 2
Lots of folks are not soccer fans, but the World Cup has managed to win over a few people. This video runs with the concept of aliens taking on the Earth's best soccer (football) players for the fate of everyone on it. No pressure. Just a great piece of advertising for Samsung and the Galaxy devices.
Weird Al Yankovic "Foil"
There are plenty of adjectives floating around about Weird Al and his massive pool of talent. This video just adds to a legacy of greatness. Love him or hate him, the guy is amazing.
