Your Own Drone for Under $100? Try Under $70

That's right you can soon be zooming around the skies taking video of different subjects for under $70.  Drones are all the rage right now and entry level models are falling price making the technology affordable for just about everyone.  While the upper level and medium level of the tech is still a little pricey, there is one product in particular that is selling pretty quickly-because of price.

The UDI U818A 2.4GHz 4 CH 6 Axis Gyro RC Quadcopter with Camera RTF Mode 2 is a nice and reliable model that comes in with a $65.25 price tag, which is way under the starting price of $499.99 for this item.  The camera comes equipped with a microSD card, which makes getting the video from your drone to your computer a snap.  The battery takes about two hours to charge and grants you about 6-9 minutes per flight, not to shabby.

Basically, the price point of this unit allows users to try some things out before jumping on a more expensive model.  For every great point about this device there as many improvements in the next class up.  The camera is a bit funky when it comes to shooting directly into the sun, and it can be a little tricky to get familiar with the controls, but in the end tearing up a $70 investment versus breaking up a $1000 investment with a crash are two very different things.
